Tim McKean

Bio

Tim is a Director for 3i Debt Management with responsibility for business development. He joined the Company in 2011 following the acquisition of Mizuho Investment Management (MIM) from Mizuho Corporate Bank. Prior to joining 3i Tim started as a graduate trainee with Mizuho Corporate Bank (previously The Fuji Bank) in 1996 and has 9 years of experience in the European leveraged loan market, working in the Portfolio, Co-arranging and Origination teams including a number of high-profile European leveraged loan transactions. In 2002 Tim transferred to the newly established Debt Management business and project managed the establishment of Mizuho's inaugural European leveraged loan CLO (Harvest CLO I S.A.). He subsequently headed up the credit team and was a member of the new business development team, arranging a number of the CLO funds under management. From April 2010 Tim headed up the European new business development and investor relations function. He holds a 2.1 LL.B. (Honours) degree from Trinity College, Dublin and is approved to perform the FSA controlled function 30.
