Steven A Axel

Bio

Joined CSCP in 2001 as Managing Director to form the firm's Mezzanine Capital group and manages CSCP's mezzanine fund (LMMF). Prior to CSCP, Mr Axel was a Partner at Canterbury Capital Partners which manages over $400 million of capital dedicated to making mezzanine investments in lower middle market companies. Prior to his four and a half years at Canterbury, he underwrote leveraged financings for LaSalle Business Credit. His experience also includes three years as a Manager with Ernst & Young’s Financial Advisory Services consulting group and three years as a CPA at Arthur Andersen & Co. Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Management from Columbia Business School.
