Bio

Has over 3 decades of experience in the Infrastructure Sector, primarily in project conceptualisation, development, project structuring/financing including PE/IPO, M&A, project implementation and operations. He has worked as a lender, developer and strategic advisor. Prior to this, he was CEO - Power Business of Cairn India. He successfully set-up the power business vertical and was responsible for building a portfolio of power assets . He has drawn up the strategy, set up systems/ processes, built-up team of development professionals and initiated a few projects. He has also served as the CFO of the Delhi Airport and CEO of Delhi Aerocity. His three years tenor witnessed revenue growth from ~ USD100 Mn to ~ USD 200 Mn and receivables position improved from over 125 days to about 36 days. Also has made significant contribution to many initiatives which includes stabilization of finance, setting-up processes, receivable management, commercial contract structuring, support to airport operation, tying up of US$ 1.2 Bn debt, ERP implementation, settling major pending litigations, transition management of airport from Govt. to the private sector. He has also served as Head – Project Finance in GMR Infrastructure, where he handled project financing of roads, power and airports in initial growth phase of the Group. He also successfully concluded PE investment and supported the IPO. He was a key member of core business strategy of the GMR Group. He was involved in Roads, Energy and Airports BOT/PPP project in crucial phases of bidding, financing and operations. He has worked closely with State & Central governments in the Greenfield Airport Policy formulation as well as on negotiations of Airport Concession Agreement & State Funding Support for the Hyderabad airport. Prior to this he was working with leading MNCs like GE, Mirant Asia Pacific Ltd. & Coastal Power Company on various power projects ranging with respect to bidding, acquisitions, operations
