Ron Weekes

Bio

Mr Weekes joined Cygnus Capital shortly after inception as the Compliance Director. Prior to joining the team, Mr Weekes spent three years as a Senior Associate with the Financial Services Authority (FSA), primarily working on the corporate authorisation and early supervision of investment management firms. Before joining the Regulator, Mr Weekes worked for five years in senior back and middle-office roles at AIB Govett Asset Management and Baring Asset Management (BAM). The period at BAM included the senior assistant position to the Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Barings Private Investment Management; the division managing the prestigious accounts, including industry-leaders, high-profile celebrities and royalty. Previous to the investment management sector, Mr Weekes worked for four years in a LAUTRO regulated environment. Mr Weekes has the full Investment Management Certificate (IMC). He is also an Associate of the Compliance Institute and a Member of the Institute of Directors.
