Rick Slaughter

Bio

Rick Slaughter is a pioneer of the alternative investment industry who, acting on a life-long passion for trading global markets, launched a groundbreaking firm known as Commodity Monitors, Inc. (CMI), a predecessor entity to Sunrise, in the mid-1970s after completing his B.S. in Finance at San Diego State University and completing some graduate work in Finance and Systems Management at both San Diego State and the University of Southern California. In the 1990s, Slaughter merged CMI into Sunrise and became a Founding Partner of the firm for which he currently serves as Chief Research Officer, as a Partner, and as a member of the firm’s Management Committee. In his roles with Sunrise, Slaughter continues his 40+ year legacy of investment innovation and helps to drive the enhancement of existing trading strategies and the development of new investment concepts. Rick and his fellow Sunrise Co-Founders were featured in Chapter 1 of The Little Book of Trading. Slaughter holds a Series 3 registration.
