Rich Sonntag

Bio

Mr. Sonntag serves as operating managing director of Promontory, Pivotal's 7,500-acre, four-season recreational community adjacent to Park City/Deer Valley, Utah. He is responsible for planning, development, sales and operations. His background includes extensive experience in high-end recreational community development. He formerly served as president of Desert Mountain Properties, developer of Desert Mountain, in Scottsdale Arizona, and Sailfish Point Inc., developer of Sailfish Point in Stuart Florida. While serving as president of the Mobil Land Development Corporation for the Colorado and Florida regions, Mr. Sonntag was involved in the development and marketing of numerous award-winning planned communities, and later served as regional vice president for Terrabrook's Southwest Region. He is a member of the Colorado and Texas Bar associations and is chairman of the Recreation Development Council (Red Flight) of the Urban Land Institute. In addition, Mr. Sonntag serves on the board of National Public Radio affiliate KPCW in Park City, Utah, and has served on numerous civic boards, advisory panels and economic development councils. Mr. Sonntag earned his Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a J.D. at the Harvard Law School.
