Paul Reed

Bio

Paul Reed joined Montlake Capital as an Operating Partner in 2006, bringing thirty years of experience in venture capital and private equity investing and senior-level operations management. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Montlake portfolio company Door to Door Storage. Prior to joining Montlake, Paul served as Senior Vice President, Investment Banking/Venture Development for Meisenbach Capital Management, where he managed a significant portfolio of venture investments and provided corporate finance advisory services to early stage and growth companies. Previously, he was a Partner at Olympic Capital Partners, a Seattle middle market investment banking firm. Earlier, he was a co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of Seattle Coffee Company, the parent of Seattle’s Best Coffee and Torrefazione Italia, during its national expansion. Prior to that, he was involved in raising and investing private equity with Paulsell & Reed and spent five years as Vice President of the M&A division of the First National Bank of Chicago. He has been President and co-owner of an apparel manufacturing company and a scientific distribution business. He holds a B.A. from the University of Washington and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
