Monte R Haymon

Bio

Previously, Mr Haymon served as the Chairman, President and CEO of Sappi North America. Prior to joining Sappi, he served as President and COO of Ply Gem Corporation and spent over thirteen years as the head of the Tenneco’s packaging group. Throughout this span, he transformed Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) from a domestic paperboard company to an international packaging company. PCA subsequently split into two successful NYSE listed companies: Pactive and Packaging Corporation of America. Before assuming general management responsibilities, Mr Haymon held various positions in marketing, sales, and manufacturing. Mr Haymon served on the Board of Trustees of Tufts University from 1994-2004 and as Chairman of the Board of Overseers of the Engineering School for eleven years. He is a former Director of several national and international public companies including Superior Essex, Agfa Geavert, and Office Max. Mr Haymon received his BS in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s AMP Program. He is married and resides in Boston, Massachusetts.
