Bio
Mark joined the Maveron team as a Venture Partner in 2010 where he focuses on early stage investments in web enabled consumer companies. Previously, Mark was one of the founding partners at Rustic Canyon Partners, where he worked until 2010. At the firm his primary areas of investment were consumer internet, ecommerce, gaming and digital media. At Rustic Canyon, Mark led numerous investments including GSI Commerce (NASDAQ: GSIC), MerchantCircle, Good Technology (f/k/a Visto), Betawave (OTCBB:BWAV), Ohai and Grind Networks. Prior to founding Rustic Canyon, Mark was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc., most recently as principal and co-head of Morgan Stanley’s Technology Mergers and Acquisitions Group, based in Menlo Park, CA. During Mark’s tenure, Morgan Stanley was recognized as the leading technology M&A advisor for three consecutive years. Prior to that, Mark was part of Morgan Stanley’s media and telecommunications M&A practice in New York. Mark currently serves on the boards of GSI Commerce, MerchantCircle and RockYou.
