Bio

Founder of Mongolia Investment & Development Fund. Before founding MIDF, was Deputy Country Director at Asian Development Bank (ADB) Mongolia office from 2005 to 2008, heading strategic planning, and infrastructure finance and capital markets operations. From 2003 to 2005 he was ADB’s country economist for Uzbekistan in Tashkent, where he was in charge of economic analysis to guide an annual lending pipeline of over $100 million. Prior to that he worked for ADB designing and structuring investments in Mongolia, China, Uzbekistan, the Philippines, and Indonesia in a range of industries including energy, airlines, roads, banking, and agribusiness. Holds a PhD in Applied Economics from Stanford University, an MS in Environmental Economics from Texas A&M University, and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Pune University. He is a member of the Board of the Arts Council of Mongolia and a founder member of the Board of the Asian Nomadic Heritage Foundation.
