John A Schmit

Bio

Mr. Schmit is a Portfolio Manager for Frontier Investment Management Company, joining the firm in 2008. Mr. Schmit focuses on equity research, manager selection, portfolio strategy, and is a voting member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Schmit is also the portfolio manager for FIMCO Total Return. From 2005 until 2007, Mr. Schmit was a Manager of Crestview Capital Partners, LLC, a hedge fund based in Northbrook, Illinois. Prior to joining Crestview, Mr. Schmit served as Vice President of Investments for RENN Capital Group, Inc., a registered investment advisor based in Dallas, Texas, where he was a portfolio manager of closed-end funds from 1997 to 2004. Prior to entering the investment business in 1997, John practiced law with the law firm of Gibson, Ochsner & Adkins, in Amarillo, Texas. He holds a BBA in Finance from Texas Christian University, a JD from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and an LLM in International and Comparative Law from The Georgetown University Law Center.
