Huston Collins

Bio

Huston is a former biomedical researcher turned techie. Formally trained in neuroscience, his interest in the brain and computational models of neurons quickly gave way to a passion for artificial intelligence. When he’s not on the job working hard to support Fika’s founders or searching for the next disruptive startup, Huston can often be found experimenting with new software or working on personal data projects. Before joining Fika, Huston was on the LP side at Greenspring Associates, one of the world’s largest venture investment platforms. At Greenspring, Huston specialized in expansion-stage direct and emerging manager investing and was closely involved with the firm’s investments in Bright Health, Cloudflare, Policygenius, Salsify, and TripActions. Originally from North Carolina, Huston enjoys exploring the live music and arts scene in Los Angeles and taking every opportunity to visit the beach in his new neighborhood, Venice. Huston holds a BS in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University.
