Bio
Dirk joined zouk in 2008 as an Associate on the Clean Technology team. He is responsible for deal sourcing, investment due diligence and structuring. Since joining, Dirk has participated in Cleantech Europe’s investments in Triton and Trilliant and zSOL's investment in Environmena. He currently has over 4 years of experience in banking and private equity. During his studies and early professional career Dirk has co-founded two companies in the mass-customization space: www.whitefleur.co.uk, a leading online jewelry retailer, and www.tailornation.com, a pioneering service for customized dress-shirts. Prior to joining zouk, Dirk worked for one and a half years with Moor Park Capital Partners in London, originating, conducting due diligence and structuring sale and leaseback, distressed real estate, and renewable infrastructure investments across Europe and the US. Before Moor Park Capital Partners, Dirk was on Deutsche Bank’s global graduate scheme in London, focusing predominantly on European equity and hedge fund investments for the bank’s global asset management group. He is a German national and speaks fluent English and Spanish. Dirk holds a dual MSc in Finance/Economics and International Business from Copenhagen Business School and ESADE respectively. He also graduated with a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Hildesheim.
