David H.E. Simmons is a Vice President in the Carlyle Investment Grade Opportunity group focused primarily on managing fixed income portfolios for bank and insurance company clients. He in based in Charlotte. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Simmons was a Vice President in the Structured Transactions and Analytic Research department at Wachovia Bank. Within this department, he managed the Valuation Securities Analytics (“VSA”) group. VSA provides credit analysis on the firms non-agency rmbs bond portfolio, performs credit research on broader the rmbs market, provides market pricing on credit sensitive assets and forecasts credit sensitivity of the these assets for strategic planning and regulatory requirements. Mr. Simmons received his B.S. in finance, real estate and law from the California Polytechnic University, at Pomona.
