Bio
Charles P. Miller is a Partner at Blue Wolf Capital, a private equity firm that specializes in control investments in middle-market companies in which managing relationships with government or labor, or resolving financial or operational distress, are critical to building value. Mr. Miller has been an equity partner at Patton Boggs LLP since 1997 (www.pattonboggs.com). At Patton Boggs, he served as the Deputy Managing Partner firm-wide and as an ex-officio member of the firm's Executive Committee from 2007-2010. From 2004-2007 he served as Chairman of the Business Department of the firm and from 2001-2004 he served as the Managing Partner of the firm's Dallas office. Prior to joining Blue Wolf, he served as counsel to the firm in many of its investments. As an attorney, Mr. Miller counseled private equity funds, financial institutions, hedge funds, mezzanine and equity funds, and other institutional investors on matters involving mergers and acquisitions, structured and project financings, acquisition financings, recapitalizations, restructuring and reorganizations, and other complex business transactions. Mr. Miller has been a life long entrepreneur and has invested in numerous private companies. He serves as the Chairman of Paranet Solutions, LLC, an IT services company headquartered in Dallas, Texas (www.paranet.com); and as a director of Value-Added Communications, Inc., a Plano, Texas based inmate phone services company (vaci.com). He has also served in an executive capacity in other private and public companies, including roles as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Restructuring Officer, General Counsel and Chief Financial Officer. He serves as a director for several non-profit organizations, including PACE and the Plano Education Foundation. Mr. Miller received his B.A., cum laude, from West Virginia University in 1983 and his J.D., Order of the Coif, from West Virginia University College of Law in 1986.
