Ann joined the private sector immediately following graduation as an Investment Banking Analyst for both Prudential Securities and Warburg Dillon Read in New York. In 2001, Ann decided to join the United States Marine Corps. In Iraq, Ann worked with a small team embedding in the South of Iraq in order to ensure Iraqi Security Force combat operations were consistent with the application of US counterinsurgency tactics. In addition, her team reported directly to General David Petraeus in order to provide atmospherics regarding militia activity and security force readiness in the central southern provinces. Ann left active duty after several tours in Iraq to complete her MBA from Harvard Business School. She returned the call for service for an additional year upon completion of her MBA. Ann works closely with SCF's portfolio companies to monitor financial performance and pursue operational improvements. Ann graduated from Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service with a Bachelors of Science in Diplomacy and Security in World Affairs and MBA from Harvard Business School.
